Our training courses have been designed to support people at all stages of their career, from managing themselves, managing others, managing projects to eventually becoming effective business leaders. We have programmes to support every level of capability.
Our focus on learning
In the last 14 years we have trained over 10,000 people in the UK and Europe. We believe that training should make a difference by equipping people with appropriate knowledge, skills and tools, through a rich learnig environment.
We know that new information, ideas and techniques are easily forgotten if they are not put into practice as soon as possible. That is why our courses include pre work, a mixture of theory, discussion and practice followed by in-work assignments and follow up surgeries. Since we introduced this approach in 1998, the vast majority of our clients have adopted this emphasis on learning, simply because it results in motivated capable staff who return to work with a determination to improve..
Managing self
These courses focus on helping people to develop the personal skills needed to survive and thrive in the modern commercial world such as personal effectiveness, presentation skills, communication skills, problem solving.
Managing others
These courses focus on developing the skills to manage others such as performance management, recruitment skills, appraisal skills, and meeting skills.
Managing Projects
These modular courses cover the needs of new starters, to understand the fundamentals, right through to advanced project leadership programmes and sponsors workshops for senior staff. Great project managers are a mixture of natural talent, an ability to learn quickly from experience and knowledge of the theory and practice of project working. We have developed these courses for project people, which unsurprisingly, also have relevance to those working in a 'business as usual' context.
Managing the business
These courses and programmes focus on developing the capability to manage the business. This includes our 12 month programme (8 modules) for senior managers which develop awareness and capability in a variety of areas including Finance, Marketing, Strategy, and Customer communications.
Consulting skills
As successful consultants ourselves we have developed a consultancy skills programme for technical specialists. It aims to provide such specialists with all the skills needed to be an effective internal or external consultant. It is a three day assignment based programme.
